Before kick off on Saturday WFCSA will present the trophy for Supporters
Player of the Season. The winner has been chosen by the fans following
completion of the paper voting forms over the last couple of weeks
and also the result of an online poll posted on the WFC Independent
Forum. The result was certainly close; in total we received 295
votes with the winner achieving 57 and beating the runner up by
only 2 votes. Thank you very much to all of you who voted. I know
you'll give your winner the cheer and applause that he deserves
when the presentation takes place.
We'll also be presenting trophies to other winning players at the
End of Season party on Sat 5th May. We'd like to take the opportunity
to thank local businesses: Pro-team Sports, Weyprint & Box Clever,
who have given us great value and help in arranging the awards.
We must also thank our trophy sponsors for their generous support;
Supporters Player Main Shield - sponsored by Iain & Kate Stone
& Family, in memory of Julie Stone
Supporters player, Individual trophy - sponsored by Trilby Tunes
Mobile Disco
Players Player trophy - sponsored by Nigel & Hannah Biddlecombe
Manager's Player trophy - sponsored by Wessex Properties
Golden Boot trophy - sponsored by Qwikfast.

Statement, 29th
February 2012
We very much congratulate Nigel Biddlecombe and his group on their
successful takeover of Weymouth FC. Nigel's lifelong dedication,
devotion & loyalty to the Club need no introduction to the vast
majority of fans. His efforts and commitment in securing this deal
have been astounding and he is now rightly rewarded with the opportunity
of safeguarding the Club he loves so much.
Throughout his negotiations Nigel has been supported by a group
of local businessmen who are also equally loyal Terras fans. Again,
the commitment and effort demonstrated has been tremendous. We are
now looking forward to the appointment of a new WFC Board of Directors
from within that group; a Board that WFCSA is looking forward to
being part of also.
Over the past few days fans have also been asked to show their support
and commitment; firstly by pledging share use to WFCSA and then
to Nigel himself in raising extra funds. The response to both requests
has been overwhelming and on behalf of all involved, we thank you
very much indeed.
We believe that today marks a significant turning point for our
club. We now have the opportunity for a genuine fans club; a club
with proper community focus and a club that ultimately the town
can be proud of once again. That is the aim for us all.
WFCSA Board.

Statement, 27th
February 2012
Following our previous statement detailing our concerns over current
affairs at WFC I'm now able, on behalf of WFCSA Board, to update
fans with fresh information.
During a conversation on Saturday, it was confirmed verbally to
me that neither the WFC Board, nor that George Rolls had taken the
opportunity to read and digest the list of questions that WFCSA
sent some days previous. It was added that there is no current intention
to do so nor consequently reply to us. However, during the conversation
it was confirmed that, to date, no financial accounts have been
prepared for the periods in question; which does answer one of the
points we raised.
We are extremely disappointed by the unwillingness to respond as
our questions were fair and reasonable given the current situation.
As a result we are now working with others to take the next appropriate
course of action which will see a suitable number of shareholders
combining to execute action requiring the WFC Board to hold an Extraordinary
General Meeting. Shareholders can help us by pledging the strength
of their own shareholding towards this action. Anybody wishing to
do so can email us at: contact@uptheterras.co.uk. We will need confirmation
of the name in which the shares are held, together with the number
of shares held.
Throughout the forthcoming time we will be closely assisted by
several individuals who are not currently members of the WFCSA Board
but have a very useful wealth of knowledge and experience. Please
be assured that they are, of course, loyal WFC fans. We have considered
the option for them to join the WFCSA Board with immediate effect,
however, it's agreed that they will be best placed at the moment
acting as voluntary Consultants to WFCSA.
Alongside this we are aware of mounting speculation of the Rolls
family negotiating transfer of their majority WFC shareholding to
a Mr Tony Campbell. Mr Campbell is unknown to us, as he indeed is
to the majority of Terras fans. His motivation for becoming involved
in WFC is also unclear. We would of course be very keen to meet
with Mr Campbell to hear his proposals for WFC and we duly extend
an invitation to him for us to do so.
In contrast, WFCSA is in full support of the takeover attempt by
current Director, Mr Nigel Biddlecombe who virtually all fans will
recognise as a lifelong devoted fan. We firmly believe that the
very best way forward for WFC now lies firstly with control being
in the hands of people who are foremost loyal supporters. The Rolls
family have always maintained that any takeover will be in the best
interests of the Club. In our opinion, the best interests are for
Mr Biddlecombe to now take control. We stress wholly that our views
have no ill bearing or reflection on Mr Campbell in any way. We
simply feel that WFC would be best placed with Mr Biddlecombe. Furthermore
Mr Biddlecombe has promised that the shareholding sold to him by
the Rolls family will be transferred to an independent trust with
any proceeds going to the Football Club itself. This will be a useful
first step in the aim of the WFCSA to enable WFC to become a true
community club.
WFCSA will continue to update fans as we are able.
Adrian Macdonald,
Chairman,
WFCSA.

Statement, 25th
February 2012
Along with a growing number of loyal and prominent supporters we
have been increasingly concerned by matters surrounding the ownership
and operation of the Club.
In response to mounting speculation and uncertainty we recently
forwarded a list of reasonable, straight forward questions via email
to the WFC Board of Directors. Those questions conveyed our concerns
over speculation of a possible change of ownership, the apparent
lack of production of suitable financial accounts, the seeming unwillingness
of the WFC Board to hold a company AGM and the concern of possible
pending investigation by different authorities into WFC matters.
Despite our formal yet polite approach, the WFC board have so far
chosen to ignore our request for information. We have received two
replies to different emails although sadly both were of a sarcastic
tone rather than a more professional response. Both replies were
unsigned. Full details of the questions we asked are available at
the foot of this statement.
Recently we agreed with WFC for us to purchase five of the 2012/2013
season tickets; currently on sale from the Club at £99. We
intended for these to be used both as a prize draw for members and
as part of a community wide initiative. With concern over WFC finances
mounting, we then decided to stop our cheque, consequently withdrawing
our payment for the time being at least. After speaking to members
of Wessex Fantasy Football we also became aware of their own intention
to do similar. Given the current uncertainty we support their action
also.
During this time we have also been aware of planned legal action,
led by Paul Cocks, to attempt to recover the majority WFC shareholding
from the Rolls family. Some have been critical of our own Board
for not taking up this action ourselves. In truth WFCSA Board has
discussed the option on several occasions, agreeing each time that,
in our current capacity, we simply do not have the financial means,
or the expertise to carry such a process through on behalf of supporters.
Therefore we are now in full support of the action being taken by
Mr Cocks and others.
George Rolls has made it publicly known that there are several
parties interested in taking over ownership and control of WFC.
Since then it has become known that one of those parties is in fact
current WFC Director, Mr Nigel Biddlecombe. Almost all Terra's fans
will know of Mr Biddlecombe's lifelong, unwavering devotion to our
Club. We also know of his integrity, professionalism and conduct
throughout his current directorship.
Having met with George Rolls on numerous occasions we are very
much aware of his deep rooted and personal love of football and
its structure. We have heard rumour of his intention to now let
WFC simply die. Despite our criticism of the current running of
WFC we find these rumours difficult to comprehend and are certain
of his personal integrity. Mr Rolls took over at WFC during extremely
difficult times and it can be strongly argued that, had he not stepped
in when he did, there would be no WFC today. However, we do now
agree with a growing number of others that the time has come for
Mr Rolls & his family to negotiate the successful transfer of
the majority shareholding to Mr Biddlecombe. On behalf of the mostly
unheard genuine Terra's fans we feel this is now the best way forward
for our Club.
As always WFCSA Board is committed to working towards the very
best for Weymouth Football Club and its fans. The constitution and
structure of the organisation is in place and available to use as
is best. We remain willing to talk to anyone who holds the best
interests of the Club in the forefront of mind.

Board Elections
The WFCSA Board comprises 12 places of which 8 are elected and
the remaining 4 are co-opted.
This year the Board is up for election and we are seeking nominations
to fill these positions. The normal term of office as a board member
is 2 years. Election results will be confirmed at our AGM on Friday
16th September 2011 at 7.30pm at the Bob Lucas Stadium. A
The arrangements for the election of Board members has now commenced
and all members should receive an invitation letter (linked here).
If you are not currently a member and wish to stand you must join
before the close of nominations on Friday 19th August.
The Supporters Association is only as strong as the members make
it and we would encourage anyone who is prepared to help us work
for the Club to have a successful future to put themselves forward.
At the point of nomination both the candidate and person nominating
them must be members of WFCSA. Potential candidates who have difficulty
obtaining nomination or any other queries should contact us for
advice. In all matters relating to the election our ruling as the
Independent Election Supervisors will be final.
Please consider coming forward, the minimum commitment is only a
monthly meeting, but if you have the enthusiasm and patience to
help the WFCSA and the Club prosper you can really make a difference
!
On behalf of the club we have been very pleased to arrange for
a new plaque to be mounted at the stadium in memory of WFC lifetime
President, Bob Lucas. Our thanks go to Terras legend David Laws
who joined Jean Lucas to unveil the plaque before the game against
Gillingham FC.
Fans were then treated to seeing 'Lawsie' in a WFC shirt once again
when he appeared as a substitute later during the game.
On behalf of all Terras fans, our very best wishes go to Mrs Lucas
and the family.

Update 04/04/2011
We take the opportunity to stress that WFCSA has not been prior
consulted as to whether we feel a fans forum is a suitable reply
to our recent open letter. However it has this evening been verbally
confirmed to us that there is currently no intention to issue a
written reply.
We are disappointed by this as we feel there is no reason for the
Club Board to not wish to provide us with written answers to any
of our questions or requests. We therefore once again publicly and
politely ask that the WFC Board provide us with the information
originally requested in our letter. As we have said previously,
we are aware that some of the information we have requested may
be commercially sensitive and so we remain happy to accept a reply
directly to us rather than in a more public format.
Whilst we welcome the opportunity for fans to be updated through
an open forum we feel that this particular evening would be more
successful and constructive if supporters had time beforehand to
consider such a reply. We also have concern that a Saturday evening
is generally a time when many people have prior arrangements that
are difficult or unreasonable to alter at short notice.
As an example this has already proved to be the case with some of
our own Board members on this occasion. We do however respect the
opposite opinion that to hold it at this time does give travelling
fans the option to attend. On that note we respectfully suggest
that the Club takes careful note of early ticket reservations and
considers rearranging the event should numbers not be taken up.
We very much ask fans to give us their opinions on these points
hence allowing us to convey their thoughts to the Club Board. Please
do so by emailing us at contact@uptheterras.co.uk.

An Open Letter
from Weymouth FC Supporters Association
to George Rolls & Pranas Preidzius
Gentlemen,
The current situation within the Weymouth FC structure and the
lack of forthcoming detailed information has left us uncertain of
the Club's future both in the short and longer term. As the elected
supporters representative body we have a due responsibility to seek
and relay important information that is of concern to a growing
number of people. We feel that an open letter gives the best opportunity
for us to raise our concerns in a completely transparent format
and gives all supporters the chance to view the correspondence.
Following the resignation of George Rolls as Chairman there has
been no indication of the appointment of a suitable successor. In
addition the Club remains without a recognisable Board of Directors
in place. Whilst we appreciate that such a Board does exist in principle,
we have had no contact or correspondence with anyone of an official
bearing other than Mr Rolls in his capacity as majority shareholder.
I add the point that this is in no way meant to undermine or question
the efforts of Associate Directors, Mark Coleman and Nigel Biddecombe,
who both continue to carry out the Club's day to day operations
in what we are sure, must be difficult circumstances. Equally we
recognise the efforts and commitment of Mr Rolls in his time at
the Club to date. However we are unable to expect supporters to
recognise an invisible Board of Directors who have no contact or
visible interest in Weymouth FC.
Referring back to the point of majority shareholding could you please
provide us with documentation to clarify exactly who is the current
majority shareholder(s)? We believe that since acquiring the shareholding
himself, Mr Rolls may have now overseen the transferral of those
shares to other members of his family.
Whilst we appreciate the cash flow difficulties currently facing
the Club we were disturbed to learn that loans are now being made
to the Club with a sum of interest being added to the repayable
figure. To avoid the inevitable outbreak of rumour and speculation
and to offer complete transparency could you please provide us with
written details of all loans currently owed by the Club, to include;
loaner, date, value, repayment terms and details of any interest
added?
Recent press reports have highlighted the point that discussions
have taken place with officials of Dorchester Town FC over the potential
of ground sharing at The Jewson Stadium. This is obviously of great
concern to supporters and is fuelling more speculation and rumour.
Again, could you please provide us with documentation to show the
facts and figures behind the suggestion? For this topic to develop
or advance in any form we feel it to be imperative that the wider
fan bases of both Clubs are consulted and their opinions held in
the highest regard.
During recent times the WFC Board has expressed an interest in
talking to any parties who may be interested in taking over the
Club, stressing that any proposals must have the best interests
of WFC in the forefront. As was subsequently reported an offer from
a consortium led by main WFC sponsor and Weyline Taxi proprietor,
Ian Ferguson, was rejected by The Board. As has also been well publicised,
on 23/02/2011, a meeting was held during which WFCSA Board agreed
with Mr Rolls and others that any takeover proposal should include
means of paying off the total amount of the remaining balance of
the Club's company voluntary agreement.
Since that time WFCSA has reflected upon that decision and with
the benefit of hindsight we now believe that to insist upon such
a condition could prove detrimental if an otherwise attractive proposal
were offered. We therefore retract our previous agreement to the
condition being prerequisite to any takeover negotiations. We have
heard varying reports of figures and terms that have been sought
as part of initial talks with interested parties. Could you please
provide us with a clear indication and reason of what The Board
would seek for a takeover to progress?
To find the very best resolve for the Club we would be willing to
assist in any negotiations wherever possible however we would obviously
need to be aware of the desire and intent of both sides in any discussion.
We realise that commercially sensitive information may not be for
the public domain and you have our assurance of respectful discretion
where necessary. However for completeness we again request that
this information be forwarded to us in written format.
A football club is unique from a more regular business as morally
it is owned by its supporters. We applaud your stance in upholding
only the best interests of Weymouth FC however things now need to
move on. If your intention is to remain at the Club with a view
of taking it forwards then we must find ways to resolve the ongoing
off field problems that continue to hold us all back. Equally if
your desire is to find the best deal for the Club and complete a
takeover then we stand ready to assist you as we are able.
We believe that Boardroom stability will bring footballing stability,
despite the realistic threat of relegation this season. Weymouth
fans have long endured Boardroom mismanagement which has led in
turn to successive relegations. The need to reverse this is now
long overdue and as current incumbents there is a moral duty upon
you to attempt to bring that to fruition. As supporters representatives
we have an equal duty and, once again, we stand ready to assist
in finding the best way forward.
We now look forward to offering supporters some reassurance from
your reply to this letter.
Best Regards,
Adrian Macdonald,
Chairman WFCSA.

WFCSA Statement
16-02-2011
Following a tremendous Terras victory over Salisbury, fans have
been left with a picture of uncertainty and speculation towards
the off field well being of the Club.
WFCSA Board held a meeting last night (Tues 15th Feb) where it
was agreed that looking for ways to resolve this is of paramount
importance.
We believe that within both the current Club structure and immediate
surrounding circles there are a number of people with the capacity
to find some solution. We have therefore proposed that a meeting
is held between key able and influential people. It's hoped that
those people will be able to hold rational, sensible discussion
and where necessary make compromise for the good of Weymouth FC.
We have proposed that this meeting take place on 24th February following
the home fixture against Didcot. Alongside that proposal we have
asked WFC Chairman George Rolls to consider the postponement of
his intended fans vote of confidence arranged for that time and
to attend this meeting instead. After lengthy discussion it's our
belief that the greater number of fans would view this as a more
practical step at his time. We now await reply from all those invited.
Furthermore, given the uncertainty of the way ahead there is a
need to be also exploring every avenue should George Rolls choose
to resign. Currently we know of no firm offer or suggestion for
an alternative WFC Board. We do however appreciate that our not
knowing doesn't mean there are none and we extend a respectful offer
of discussion and assistance accordingly.
We will further update fans as things develop. In the meantime
we should focus our efforts of support firmly onto the football
pitch. The business end of the season is fast approaching and with
a fantastic win against Salisbury Martyn Rogers and the Terras have
shown us the ability and determination to keep us in the Zamaretto
Premier Division.
WFCSA Board.

WFCSA Update 31/01/2011
With the second half of the season now well underway Weymouth FC
Supporters Association would like to update fans on our recent activities
and our plans looking ahead.
We have recently purchased WFC shares to the value of £500.
This was in response to the news that the Club faced a similar sized
bill to pay for urgent repairs to the main pitch mower. Our purchase
has made supporter's money available to help Will Ronald and his
team keep the playing surface in the superb condition that we consistently
see. Combined with members shares transferred to us via proxy this
latest purchase takes the overall WFCSA shareholding to slightly
over 5% of the total WFC share value. Through membership and fundraising
we intend to continue steadily building upon our shareholding; giving
fans a greater stake in their Club whilst providing some welcome
income to WFC. We would also welcome any additional shares that
members may choose to transfer to us via proxy.
Some time ago WFC Chairman George Rolls offered to sign a declaration
to reassure fans that he is not seeking to make profit or personal
gain from his involvement at the Club. We can inform fans that WFCSA
has now produced such a document and that it has been signed by
Mr Rolls, witnessed by two of our Board members. An electronic version
of the document can be viewed by visiting our website at www.uptheterras.co.uk.
The original, bearing signatures and witness details, is held by
WFCSA.
Recently a WFCSA Board member has begun helping one of the Club's
Associate Directors with the counting and recording of match day
income. In doing this we not only provide assistance in a very important
role but in addition we can vouch for the meticulous procedures
that are in place to ensure the accuracy of the task.
The Club needs more volunteer help in a range of tasks both on
match days and in general. WFCSA intends to become more involved
in arranging volunteers to add to the good number of long standing
loyal fans who already carry out a range of vital work of their
own accord.
We have been asked by the Club to assist with future fundraising
initiatives and events. It's hoped that by combining our efforts
we can organise a range of successful fundraisers suitable for various
tastes and pockets. Currently various different fans, not associated
with WFCSA, are to be commended for their efforts in providing vitally
needed money for the club. The tremendous achievements of the Wessex
Fantasy Football scheme shows the generosity of WFC supporters and
is a credit to the group of fans involved in organising it. A match
day meat draw, arranged solely by a loyal supporter is now held
in the bar before kick off. The prizes are high quality produce,
as any winners to date would confirm. Please support these initiatives
as you can, whilst providing much needed funds for the Club they
also demonstrate the commitment and loyalty of both the people taking
their own time to arrange them and to the fans that give their support.
On the pitch, beginning with a ten point deduction, the team has
faced another very difficult season so far. All Terras fans were
saddened when things didn't work out for Ian Hutchinson and some
made their feelings known. Ian's loyalties and devotion to Weymouth
FC will remain unsurpassed. The discomfort of the situation has
been eased greatly however by the appointment of a manager with
the calibre and reputation of Martyn Rogers and we very much welcome
him back to the Club. Alongside Martyn we were delighted to see
Brendon King step up to accept the Assistant Manager's position.
Looking ahead as Martyn Rogers says, "there is a mountain
to climb", for the rest of the season. Fans are realistic enough
to realise the task ahead for the team but there is still plenty
of opportunity remaining to gain the points needed. Those who watched
a great Terras performance against Halesowen will have seen that
we have every chance of seizing that opportunity. As supporters
there is plenty we can do to help both in the short term this season
and then working towards the future. If you're able to offer help
in any way or have ideas or suggestions please get in touch. WFCSA
is looking to build and become stronger, to do that we need more
fans to join us. We currently have spaces on our Board with the
option to co-opt members on. You can find information of how to
join on our website, by collecting a form from the Club shop or
by talking to any of our Board members on match day.
We look forward now to the Terras next home match at the Bob Lucas
Stadium, a tough test against Salisbury City on Saturday 12th Feb,
K.O 3.00pm.
Please give your support to the WFC Under 18's, raising funds for
the Terras of the future,

Non-profit
document
WFCSA can confirm that we have now passed over a 'non-profit document'
to WFC Chairman George Rolls. As is known, Mr Rolls will now consider
the content of the document with his legal advisors for a period
of fourteen days. We will further update supporters following that
time period.
We have also taken up an invitation from the Club for a WFCSA representative
to sit alongside an Associate Director and witness the procedures
involved with collecting and accounting match day income. We did
this during the game against Leamington and were fully reassured
by the system in place. Prior to this exercise, records of previous
games from this season were also shown to us.

New Manager
On behalf of supporters WFCSA is very pleased to welcome new manager
Martyn Rogers to the Club. We are pleased that the Club Board has
acted swiftly to appoint Mr Rogers into the role and we very much
hope to hear his thoughts and plans in due course.
Posted 16th January 2011
Ian Hutchinson
Due to the work commitments of our Board members this is the earliest
time we have been able to respond to the news and events of this
morning.
We'd firstly like to inform fans that our SA Board was not involved
in the decision to remove Ian Hutchinson as first team manager.
We believe that the vast majority of Weymouth fans supported Ian
in the role and would have no desire to see him replaced at this
time. Therefore, as supporters representatives we confirm that we
do not support the decision taken by the WFC Board to relieve Ian
Hutchinson of his duties.
We are, by chance, this evening holding our monthly SA Board meeting
where an Associate Director also regularly attends. We will be asking
the reasoning behind the decision to remove Ian Hutchinson and seeking
assurance that a suitable caretaker manager is lined up to takeover
first team duties.
Finally we would like to add our disappointment at the news of
this decision being leaked to the press seemingly before Ian Hutchinson
had been properly informed himself. On behalf of Terras fans we
would like to thank Ian for his time and devotion to our club and
we wish him all the very best for the future.
A longer statement will follow in due course.

Match Sponsors,
Bedford Town Sat 20th November
WFCSA is pleased to say that some of our Board members will be
match sponsors this coming Saturday when The Terras take on Bedford
Town at The Bob Lucas Stadium. The package was taken up at one of
the Club's recent successful fundraising evenings. We'd like to
take the opportunity to remind fans that WFC offers a range of packages
at costs attractive to all pockets. With Christmas rapidly approaching
it's also a great time to visit Nigel in the Club shop for WFC based
presents.
Saturday's game is shaping up to be a good one. The team can now
boast of being unbeaten at home in the last six games. After a gutsy
draw away at Didcot on Tuesday Ian Hutchinson & the lads are
no doubt looking forward to a few days well earned rest before returning
to home turf on Saturday. With Bedford having won their last two
matches they'll be giving the Terras a tough game and so it would
be great to see as many fans as possible in the stadium, cheering
them on.

Statement From
WFCSA
Yet again off field issues and allegations are overshadowing the
achievement and efforts of Ian Hutchinson and the players. We have
requested, at the earliest convenience, an urgent meeting with the
WFC Board and the Associate Directors. This will give us opportunity
to discuss the latest round of allegations as well as the previously
agreed documents reported in our statement to fans last week. We
will update fans once a meeting time has been agreed. We will then
be seeking to arrange a second meeting to bring together key people
from the Club and supporters base in an attempt to resolve the ongoing
problems that continue to shroud the image of WFC.
On Saturday those fans who watched the game at The Bob Lucas Stadium
enjoyed a fine display from our team where they more than matched
a strong Chippenham side, currently lying seventh in the league
table. This wasn't through luck or one off moments, it was through
a solid and determined team performance similar to some of those
that we've already witnessed at times this season. In his program
notes Hutch talked of the challenge he faces in keeping the off
field problems out of the dressing room. He also assured us again
of the bunch of "honest and genuine lads who are trying their
hardest for Weymouth FC." Those of us at the game on Saturday
saw those virtues once again but in addition we also saw that those
"honest and genuine lads," can also play a bit of football
as well. At home The Terras are now unbeaten in their last four
league games having won and drawn two respectively. Next Saturday
they have an opportunity to extend that to five games against Bedford
Town who will be sure to give us a tough and entertaining game.
We at the SA would like to reassure all Terras fans that we will
do our best to ensure that the off field problems that are again
ripping into our club are brought to a head and sorted out. In the
meantime, to quote Hutch once again, "at the end of the day
Weymouth Football Club is about THE TEAM." To back up his sentiments
we urge all fans to give Ian & the boys as much support as we
possibly can against Bedford Town next Saturday, K.O 3.00pm.

Thanks to those
who supported our racenight on Fri 12th Nov.
Those who attended the racenight enjoyed a fun and entertaining
evening along with delicious buffet food. Although attendance was
disappointing we are able to report a profit of £170 which
is great testament to the support of those who came along.
Thanks go to our compare, Wendy from Casino Nights Ltd, for keeping
us entertained, to Matt from the stadium cafe for supplying a great
buffet and to Jo, working behind the bar.
Special thanks go to all of our race sponsors and raffle prize
donators whose support made the evening possible.
Regards,
WFCSA Board.

Statement From
WFCSA
Firstly we are well aware of the need for us to apologise to Weymouth
fans for our delay in giving our reassurance after the latest speculation
surrounding our Club. On this occasion we realise that many fans
are seeking information from us and we accept the due criticism
that has been directed towards us by some supporters.
Lately there has obviously been news released from the Club which
has given supporters reason to raise questions and uncertainty.
Some conflicting opinion and speculation has since followed as a
result. We hope to now be able to give fans the reassurances they
seek.
Firstly we would like to make clear that we were not involved in
the transfer of any WFC shares held by Make It So Ltd. This process
was decided and carried through by the WFC Board of Directors and
Associate Directors. We realise that the issue of the share transfer
is at the root of the current uncertainty directed towards the WFC
Board. Whilst we weren't involved in that process we can report
that we have again been verbally offered the opportunity to take
a position on the Clubs actual Board of Directors. This would place
a WFCSA representative in a position to vote upon any further transfer
or sale of shares and report back to fans. We have been offered
this before although so far we have always politely declined as
there are other issues for us to consider before an individual joins
the WFC Board. Our S.A Board will again give this option due consideration.
We have agreed in principle that we will obtain a document from
George Rolls to state that he has no intention to profit from Weymouth
FC. He has repeated his offer to give fans such a document and we
will now see that through. We have also agreed that the S.A will
receive a statement to show the exact sums of money injected into
the Club by George Rolls, deemed as loans since the CVA process
was completed. We understand this figure to be around £50,000
with the largest single amount being approx £15,000 paid to
settle the insolvency practitioners costs immediately after the
CVA. We are advised that other loans have since been used to overcome
short term cash flow problems. We are also informed that, whilst
new investment and sponsorship is being sought, overall the Club
is not trading at a loss. Once a statement is issued to us we hope
to be able to offer fans further information.
We have also given WFC our ongoing support to Ian Hutchinson and
Andy Mason as first team manager & assistant. We believe that
the majority of supporters remain steadfast behind Ian & Andy
and want to see them given long term opportunity to turn things
around on the pitch.
This is also an opportunity to thank Simon Ethrington for his efforts
as an Associate Director. Simon has stepped down for his own reasons
but remains a steadfast, loyal WFC supporter. Fans should take great
reassurance from the ongoing presence of the other Associate Directors
who are all among the Clubs most loyal and honourable supporters.
We hope that fans will take reassurance from the points mentioned.
Some of the processes above will take us some time to organise and
we ask people to show us a little more patience. In the meantime
we urge all Terra's fans to show their support to The Chairman,
The Associate Directors, to us as supporter's representatives but
most importantly to Ian Hutchinson and the team. With important
home games coming up it would be great to see as many as possible
cheering the team on beginning on Thursday evening against Brackley
Town, kick off 7.45pm.

Donation/Tracksuits/Shares
Weymouth FC Supporters Association today announced a donation to
the value of £4,000 to the Terras. The money, which has already
been handed over has been used to buy tracksuits for the first team
squad and the greater part of it will help increase the Club's playing
budget.
WFCSA Chair Ade MacDonald said "Ian Hutchinson was keen for
the playing squad to look the part and we were pleased to be able
to help by buying the tracksuits. We hope that this and the funds
for the playing budget will provide an additional boost to Ian and
the team".
He added "We will formally present Ian with the tracksuits
prior to Saturdays home match with Cirencester."
The Supporters Association will receive shares from the Club in
return for the cash donation.

R.I.P Bob Lucas
On behalf of all Terras fans we would like to pay honour and respect
to Weymouth FC President, Bob Lucas, who has sadly passed away this
morning. Bob was one of life's true Gentlemen and will be remembered
as Weymouth F.C's greatest ever supporter, servant & friend. Today
is a very sad day not only for the Club, but for the town as a whole.
Our thoughts are now with Bob's wife and family at this sad time.

New WFCSA Board
Member.
We are very pleased to announce that Juliet Morey has joined the
WFCSA Board. A long standing and loyal Terras supporter, Juliet is
a familiar face around the club who needs no introduction to many
fans.
Her past work and experience within the Supporters Club aswell as
WFC itself make her an excellent addition to the Board of the new
Supporters Association.

Association: Wessex Clean Up - Thank you
We'd like to thank the supporters who joined forces with Club Directors
and S.A Board members on Saturday morning, working to clean up and
tidy the stadium ahead of the new season. Weeds were cleared from
the verge around the pitch and the terraces were tidied and swept.
A great amount of work was achieved by a small number of people and
the differance is aready noticable. However there is much more left
to do and we'll soon be arranging another session where it would be
great to see more people who can spare a few hours to help.
Thanks again to those who helped.

Association: Wessex Clean Up - Help Needed
Last summer supporters did a great job of repainting the crowd
barriers around the stadium. We'd like to ask again for fans to
offer their time and become directly involved in helping the club
by making the Wessex Stadium as welcoming as possible.
Following closed season the stadium is in need of some attention
before we kick off again in August. On Saturday 24th July, starting
at 9.00 a.m we will be working for a few hours to sweep the terraces
and clear weeds and litter from the footpaths immediately outside
the stadium. Club Directors and WSA Board members will be there
pushing brooms and pulling up weeds. If fans can find some time
to come along and help it will be very much appreciated. Brooms
and tools will be available however it will help further if fans
are able to bring along any such items to use themselves.
Heading into the new season we are looking to organise some help
to the club on a more regular basis. There are a number of routine
tasks that have to be done to keep the stadium clean and tidy so
that it's fit and presentable on matchday. Currently most of this
work is being done by Will Ronald, putting a strain on his ground
keeping budget. To allow Will and his team to concentrate on keeping
the pitch in its usual excellent condition we have agreed to help
as much as we can with some of the other routine tasks.
We are looking to establish a small regular team of fans who are
able to commit a few voluntary hours each week to help keep the
stadium in good order for matches. The task mainly involves coming
in after a game to tidy and litter pick around the terraces and
stand. Arrangements can be made to allow access to the stadium at
any time that is convenient to the people taking up the task. It
is hoped that we will be able to develop this and build up a base
of willing volunteers who are able to carry out other small jobs
of repair, maintenance and upkeep around the club.
If you are would like to offer your time and help in any way please
contact the Supporters Association,
Alternatively you may leave your details with any of our Board
members at pre- season fixtures.

Andy Harris
On behalf of Terras fans we'd like to take the opportunity to thank
Andy Harris for his loyalties and service to WFC over the last few
years. Special thanks must be mentioned for his efforts last season
when he adopted the caretaker manager's role during difficult times
at the club. As he now hangs up his playing boots we wish him every
success and best wishes for the future.

Statement
We fully support the course of action proposed by the WFC Board
and agreed by the shareholders present at the meeting. Our position
has always been that if there is significant evidence to support
the alleged wrong doings against Weymouth FC then we would expect
the serving Club Board to pursue the case.
Following the information given by George Rolls we now believe
that the Club has that evidence, a view that was endorsed by the
vast majority of shareholders attending the meeting. We have offered
the Club our assistance where possible, beginning with helping to
establish a base for fundraising towards forthcoming legal costs.
Weymouth F.C are arranging for a designated bank account to be
set up specifically to accept donations towards the costs. We have
agreed that as WSA Chairman I will join George Rolls as one of the
two signatories to the account. WSA will then be able to see exactly
what is being paid in and out of the fund.
We will ourselves be making a donation of £1000 to the fund
as soon as the account is arranged. We will be helping the Club
Board with the public side of the necessary fundraising and we would
ask all Terras fans to donate whatever amount they can.
Adrian Macdonald,
Chairman

Ideas for sponsorship
next season
The Supporters Association has been asked by the Club for its views
and ideas about sponorship opportunities for next season.
The aim is to be able to offer everyone the chance to become a
WFC sponsor by introducing a range of options that will be affordable
and attractive to the fans. Sponsorship income can make a big contribution
to helping the Club break-even next season.
We are researching different ideas and initiatives. Once again
we would welcome the thoughts and suggestions of the fans themselves.
Recently we have received some very useful feedback from fans on
issues such as matchday admission prices for next season and ideas
for the design of the away kit.
To continue this channel of communication we would welcome your
views and suggestions about sponsorship. If fans could email them
to us that will make them easier for us to collect together.
Congratulations to Simon Radcliffe who won the poll for the Supporters
Association's Player of the Season 2009/10.
Simon was presented with his trophy prior to the match against Hampton
& Richmond.

the outcome that we believe all Terras fans have wished for."
He added "We very much appreciate George Rolls and his Board
involving the Supporter's Association in the process leading up to
these appointments. The decision was taken in a business-like way
and all factors were carefully considered. Now we hope as many fans
as possible will turn out on Saturday to give Ian and Andy a big welcome
back to the Club as manager and coach."
Note : WSA will be making their Player of the Season award before
the game, voted for by fans on the Terras forum.

WFCSA Statement,
Conclusion of Merger
Weymouth FC Supporters Association Board is now pleased to be
able to offer fans the following update.
We have, as a Board, now met to conclude the final points of the
merger and to elect individuals into specific roles within the Board
for the duration of the coming 12 months.
The structure of the Board is:
Chairman: Adrian Macdonald
Vice Chairman: John West
Secretary: Colin Huckle
Treasurer: Dave Parsons
Membership Officer: Ralph Ricardo
Webmaster: Mark Probin
Publicity Officer: John West
Board Member: Nigel Beckett
Board member: Steve Walkinshaw
During the merging process it was agreed that the Board would consist
of a maximum of twelve members. Currently two people have expressed
a definite interest in joining us and we hope to welcome them onboard
shortly. This will take our board membership to ten, leaving two
positions to be filled.
As many will appreciate the two previous organisations whilst equal
in their support of Weymouth FC had, at times, differing methods
of lending that support. In the time ahead as the Association develops
and grows, from time to time issues will arise that require sensible
discussion to achieve a positive outcome. The balance of offering
firm support to the Club whilst remaining an independent body representative
of supporter's wider viewpoints remains among our many challenges.
We intend to provide the single unified organisation that supporters
of Weymouth FC were calling for. We see the Association as being
inclusive and open to a range of opinions about the issues that
concern the Club. We are pleased to say that we have formed a positive
early relationship with the current board of Weymouth FC. Both sides
have agreed to the forming of a supporter's Management Committee
which will be set up within the structure of the Club. This will
mean that a body of supporters will be actively involved in the
running of the Club, including the chance to evaluate the Club's
monthly management accounts.
It is expected that the Committee will consist of a nucleus of
Supporters Association members with possible additional places available
for non-members. It will report jointly to the Boards of Weymouth
FC and the WFC Supporters Association. We see the Committee as opportunity
to promote a common understanding of the issues affecting the Club
and when necessary hold the WFC Board to account on issues regarding
the management of the Club. We also expect it to be used to identify
ways to promote and support the Club, e.g. encouraging attendance,
fundraising, etc.
Currently the Association Board is unanimous in its decision that
this is a more suitable option than taking up the offer of positions
on the Board of the Club. We will however be regularly reviewing
this position, providing the offer remains open. A meeting is to
be arranged shortly to agree final structure and roles of the Committee
and we will update fans as soon as we can.
Going forward, we aim to build on the things that have worked well
previously, such as email bulletins for our members, open meetings,
the half-time draw, the Club shop, corporate membership, regular
fundraising events and building our stake in the Club through share
ownership and pooling of individually owned shares.
We have agreed to use funds from the merged organisations to immediately
purchase WFC shares to the value of £2,000 which will increase
the Association's overall shareholding in the Club to 5%. We further
intend the steady ongoing purchase of shares based upon the value
of funds raised by the Association.
Looking ahead we intend to very shortly launch our new website,
publicise our agreed new constitution and not least be able to offer
fans the chance to join and become members of the new organisation
(existing paid-up members of the Trust and Supporter's Club are
in the meantime considered to be members of the new Association)
. As we grow we intend to set up sub-committees to organise fundraising
and social events and to encompass the existing supporters travel
club.
We urge fans to unite in their support of Weymouth FC and the WFC
Supporters Association. This season has without doubt proved to
be extremely disappointing for the fans on the terraces, resulting
unfortunately in relegation for the second season running. We do
believe however that the Club now has the opportunity to stabilise
both on and off the pitch. In addition, we believe that supporters
are being offered the opportunity of an active role that can potentially
be greater than we have seen previously. In the coming weeks and
months we fully intend to hold the Club Board to their word on this
and we urge all Terras fans to join us as we strive to support our
Club and enable concerns, views and opinions of supporters to be
raised and heard.
Once we have finalised details of Association membership we will
make the opportunity to formally join us immediately available.
In the meantime, as always, we welcome any comments or suggestions.

Merger of the WFC
Supporters Club & The Terras Trust.
The EGM of the Terras Trust and The Supporters Club was held
in The Weyline Lounge, as publicised, on Thurday 18th March.
Existing members of both groups heard our proposals for the merged
body and cast their votes to conclude the merger. Members voted
overwhelmingly to accept the new constitution, the operating proposals
and the nominated members of the new board.
The new organisation will be known as Weymouth F.C Supporters Association
and is effective immediately. We will be holding our first board
meeting within the next two weeks where we will decide the roles
of individual board members. We are now hoping for a successful
conclusion for Weymouth F.C in it's CVA application on Friday 26th
March. This will give us all the opportunity to work together towards
achieving and maintaining a stable basis for football in Weymouth.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank Terras fans for their
support and patience throughout the time it has taken to organise
our merger. In due course, as things develop, we will be releasing
much more information on the Supporters Association before giving
fans the chance to join and become members.
